Kanyisa joined Sanlam in 2020 and is chief executive officer of Sanlam Corporate with 13 years of experience in life insurance, management and business planning. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Columbia Business School and an Honours Degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town. Kanyisa also received her actuarial qualification from the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Before joining Sanlam, she worked at Old Mutual – during this time, she successfully filled various roles across product development, strategy, business development, customer solutions and direct distribution. Kanyisa also worked for Gen Re Life/Health as an assistant actuary before she worked at Old Mutual and formerly served as a trustee of Old Mutual’s umbrella fund Superfund, and is a former board member of Epilepsy South Africa.
